The Founder
Jeremike Hunter
Jeremike Hunter is an advocate, speaker, and founder of BJ’s Track of Hope Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing youth violence, empowering at-risk youth, and strengthening communities through education, mentorship, and outreach. Her mission is very personal. Jeremike lost her son, BJ, to gun violence. In her grief, she chose to create purpose by ensuring that BJ’s legacy would impact others. BJ was a son, a light, and a young man with a future. His life sparked a movement for hope and second chances.
With a background in criminal justice and a strong connection to the reality many youths face, Jeremike delivers authenticity and zeal to her work. She speaks not from theory, but from lived experience, reaching young people before they make life-altering decisions and supporting those already handling the justice system. Her message addresses gun violence prevention, peer pressure, decision-making, and the real-life consequences of choices.
Jeremike is especially committed to working with alternative schools, juvenile facilities, and underserved communities, places where guidance and real connection are critical. She doesn’t just speak to youth, she connects with them, helping them see beyond their current circumstances and recognize their potential.
Through BJ’s Track of Hope Foundation, she leads initiatives, including toiletry care package outreach for individuals experiencing homelessness. The foundation’s structured, multi-session youth programs include workshops on conflict resolution, peer mentoring, decision-making skills, and educational support, all designed to help youth build resilience and create lasting positive change beyond temporary inspiration.
“I couldn’t save my son—but I can help save yours.”
